Catch up time....

having to catch up a few days as I've got behind (I just knew it wouldn't last!). Zoe was ill over the weekend and things are still not quite back to normal. Anyway, I've managed Sunday's page for Shimelle's class, it turned out to be a double page all about Christmas cards.....

blogger doesn't seem to want to play right now though so no picture :(

I'm hoping to get Monday and Tuesday's pages done tonight - let's just hope Blogger behaves better in the morning....

added on Wednesday...

Hatrick!

three blog entries in three days - I surprise myself sometimes!

today we've had new window and doors fitted downstairs in our new kitchen! very exciting :) it's really starting to look more like the plan for the kitchen now rather than a complete building site.

My advent gift from Santa today was a yummy cranberry ink pad, disguised as a packet of soup! I was a bit surprised to see a box of soup when I unwrapped it, and it took me a minute or two to realise there was something else inside! Sneaky Santa :D

I've also done two more entries for my Christmas journal :) One is based today's prompt about weather, the other is an extra one for yesterday about our Advent gifts.

First of December....

so technically it's the second, but I've not gone to bed yet, so it still counts OK?

first off - today was the day I opened my first present from my secret Santa on UKS! opening the box itself was exciting enough! I waited until just after midnight to open it up and wow! so many beautifully wrapped pressies for me, extra ones for the girls, sweeties and a toy Santa all packed up in a fabby box that I'll be using long after Christmas :)

and then this morning just before the school run I opened the first gift!

they're fasteners for binding minibooks and are gorgeous! I've never seen pretty ones before - only ever plain silver ones, but these are so cute :) thanks Santa if you're reading!

After that things got a bit hectic with builders back for more brickwork, playgroup, family stresses, swap hosting stresses, stoppy children stresses. I really felt like I'd earnt my glass of wine this evening!

Today was also the start of Shimelle's Christmas Journal course. After stating my manifesto so clearly yesterday, I thought I'd better start as I meant to go on! Well, it was supposed to be a simple intro page, but turned into 90 mins of pain :( for some reason things were just not happening tonight. It's done now, not sure how happy I am with it, but it's finished and I've made a start.

time for bed now :)
