WOW - Comments :D

first thanks Caroline and Ann for your comments :) I'm glad to know I've got it working now!

but secondly - *BIG* apology!

I just upgraded to blogger beta and found there were 10 comments you lovely readers had added that were awaiting my moderation! I had no idea they were there, and some have been there for weeks - ooops! thank you all for your comments, I've clicked on 'publish' so hopefully they're all showing now! :)

as promised, more Shimelle LOs....

Had Izzy at home this afternoon after twisitng her ankle at school. She was bouncing around the lounge (literally!) so she's back to school tomorrow.

Latest LOs from Shimelle's class are....

I've done another 3 but it's too dark to photograph well right now, I'll try and get them posted tomorrow :)

If anyone is reading this, could you leave me a comment please? one of my lovely teammates tried to leave a comment and couldn't so I've tweaked a few things and hopefully they're working now! just need a volunteer to test it......

Found my camera lead (note to self - *MUST* tidy desk!) so will attempt to upload the LOs I did for last week's team challenge.....

it had to be on a travel theme, with a word definition, have something purple on it and have a film strip (or similar) too - full marks for me!

All pictures show Zoe in our collection of slings :)

Saturday today and I've spent all afternoon in bed! Zoe has given Jim and me a cold and neither of us can cope with much.

We went to Young Family Group at the church yesterday morning. Zoe had a great time - she loved playing with all the toys, the songs and the drink and biscuit! we'll definately be going back next week :)

OK so I've done some catching up.....

off to lie down now ;)

tuesday and I find myself 6 days behind for Shimelle's class!

oh well - looks like I need to do some scrapping then :)

apart from that Kevin the Builder came round this evening and we've agreed they'll be starting right after half term. So as of the first week of November, it's all go -total disruption and lots of plaster dust! Hopefully the main room will be useable by Christmas and we can get the new kitchen fitted in the New Year. How exciting!

just found this photo from yesterday!

Jim took it. I wonder what he'd just said to her!

Sorry for the gap!

spent thursday and friday with headache from hell :( Saturday was much better though :) we spent the day at Stewart and Paula's wedding. We had an excellent time and partied until very late! it's only now when I come to upload the pics that I realise I've not taken one of all three girls together looking smart - opps! Oh well, here's what I have got, only my lots as I'm not sure how anyone else feels about being shown online....

outside the church (refusing to actually look at me!)

Zoe and statue at the reception

and in the disco - forgive the blurryness - this was taken just before 10pm. My girls have got more stamina than me!

Stupid!

for the first time in the 17 years I've been using cash machines I fcuked up! I managed to leave my cash in the machine - argh! can't believe I was so stupid. Oh well - I certainly learnt something new today and yes I did use that for today's LO for Shimelle's class! I've contacted the bank and there is a chance they'll return the money - I just have to hope no one else took it before the machine sucked it back in!

Anyway, I've caught up with Shimelle's class....

Giraffe!

my LO for this week's team challenge on UKS....

had to be monochromatic (shades of one colour), of an animal, with two or more patterned papers and with a flower. It's a picture of the baby giraffe at Whipsnade taken on our day there this Feb half term. I'm really pleased with this one :)

I'm a bit behind with my LOs for Shimelle's class, but will try to catch up....

Carnival today

and after a rather hurried start, Lucy had an excellent time :) the photos aren't brilliant, but....

apart from that I remembered to photograph my LOs for Shimelle's class..

from Tues 5th when the big two went back to school - learning can be very hard work! the hidden tag explains that although they (normally) go into school with a smile, they often come out in a foul mood as they're so tired

and from Weds 6th - Zoe learnt to jump and I spent ages trying to photograph her in the air! failed totally, so pic is of her feet firmly on the carpet. I learnt I need to improve my photography skills! so yesterday I signed up for a workshop with the local adult ed college to improve my portait photography in November :)

Been busy....

scrapping :) no more pics to upload right now - too busy getting inky to stop and take photos - smack hand! will try and get some taken in daylight tomorrow.

Apart from the scrapping, Zoe has cut another tooth, one of the pointy ones at the bottom and she has been fairly grumpy about it all :(

I've been making caveman costumes for Lucy to wear on the Brownie float for the carnival on Saturday. I'd been putting it off as I wasn't too sure how I was going to do it. In the end it took 30 mins with the sewing machine and I'd made two :D that's what comes of over estimating the material! still Izzy doens't feel left out now :)

Lots of scrapping and lots of photos...

first the three LOs I did last night for Shimelle's class...

2nd September

3rd September

4th September

and also a LO I did from the wonderful Scrapdolly's Safari class on UKS shows Izzy a few days before her 2nd birthday, covered in Chicken pox!

and finally my LO for this week's team challenge on UKS - had to be on a water theme, but no blue with swirly bits (I didn't get full points as I missed out the bottle top).

phew! :)

AAARRRGGGHHHHH

PMT, trying to sort girls uniform out for tomrrow, inundated with messages about places in a new CJ I'm hosting, huge piles of washing up

end result no scrapping and stressed me :(

Bliss!

have had almost the whole day scrapping today :) have started making 4 minibooks for presents for Christmas and have completed one LO. No pics of the pressies, but LO is....

it's based on Scrapdolly's You are Unique class on UKS and shows Izzy on the beach, not quite sure when though!

Also as promised, here's the LO for Shimelle's class I did yesterday (when JIm ahd the camera - grr!)

No pics of the minibook for the Cj until it's arrived in it's new home - don't want to spoil the surprise!

Saturday

and Jim has been in London all day for Stewart's stag do - lucky him! It's been raining on and off all day so I've been watching movies with the girls while sewing on name tapes to new uniform. I've also decorated their new book bags according to their very strict instructions - no photos as Jim has kidnapped my camera :o he virtually had to prise it out of my hands this morning!

I had some stash arrive this morning - loads of brads and some gorgeous flowers, but not as many as I'd ordered. It seems to be my week for missing items. Maybe I should give up shopping online......

I've not completed my LO for Shimelle's class as I've been busy making a minibook for the CJ I'm in. This isn't like a normal CJ where you make an entry in one book that gets passed round. For this one I make a minibook for each member of the circle and post directly to them. This was my first book and the theme was 1958. I've really enjoyed it :) will have to upload some pics once the camera is back.

First LO complete

it's virtually identical to Shimelle's and I'm pleased with it :)

Woo hooo!

it's September and Shimelle's course has started. So far I've had to tidy my desk - gulp! and cut up some cardstock. Not quite got past the desk tidying stage yet.

Good post day - two pizza boxes of papers, card, stickers, chalk inks etc most of which is for the course. Some of the cardstock was missing, but the store are sending more :)

Also I got hold of the Wandering Didy! (sounds funny like that!) it's a Didymos wrap sling in gorgeous pinks and purples that has been traveling around the country visiting members of the Hunnybeez AP forum. I've got it for the next week to try out with Zoe. I'll try and get some pics later.

We've been baking this morning....

Zoe's never really done any cooking before and once we'd persuaded her to keep the apron on, she thought it was great!

the best bit of course is licking the bowl and the beaters!

and the end result.....

not sure how many will be left by the time Daddy gets home ;)

and last of all, here's the LO I did for this week's challenge.....

it had to include things representing the word Ravers (cos the RicRac Ravers team set the challenge!) and I got full marks....

R - ric rac
A - altered alphabet title, aqua coloured brads and Aquarium pics!
V - velvet letter sticker for 'F'
E - eyelets on the tags
R - ribbons
S - sequins, stickers for 'A' and over the second 'E'
