well so much for my newly reformed blogging habit! I am *so* bad at this!

I did Shimelle's September course, haven't quite finished it yet, but hopefully will get it done before starting the Christmas one! Speaking of which....

see here for details :)

I first started this course for Christmas 2006, but only managed about a week or so. This year I've got my pages prepared in advance, just waiting for piccies and journalling. Hopefully this means I'll be able to keep up! I'm really looking forward to documenting our first Christmas as a family of 6, Ben's first Christmas :) I'm so very very excited it's almost December (more so than the children I think......)

I've been messing about with the blog layout and have taken off the slide images that showed my LOs. It seemed odd seeing these really old pages, most are over 2 years old now. At some point I'll sort out a new slide thingy of more recent LOs. For now though, I'm adding in a link to the pages I did for Shimelle's course What I Learnt In September - September 2006 that was!

I'm planning on repeating the course this year. Not sure if I'll manage to finish like I did last time, but I'm going togive it a go :)

hmm not sure that I like the new colour scheme (if I can call it that as there aren't actually any colours!)

will have a fiddle later and see if I can improve things :)

edit = please excuse the scary pirates - just having a play.....

Shoe shopping.....

last time the experience was so bad that it stopped me blogging for 16 months :o but it had to be faced - today was the day we went shoe shopping for Lucy and Izzy's school shoes. I'd been putting it off since the start of the holidays, but in the end it all went very smoothly. We were at John Lewis before they opened, we got our ticket just after 9am and were told to come back in 20 mins, but before the lift had arrived to take us away, the assistant was ready. Less than half an hour later we had shoes! for both girls!! and Lucy had even been able to chose which pair she wanted!!! (sorry about exclamation mark overload) I think it's the first time she's had two pair to chose from sicne she was about 7 (her feet really are awkward).

After that we bought most of the rest of the uniform we needed. We couldn't find a whole tracksuit for Lucy (only tops, no bottoms) but apart from that we're done.

Having been away for so long, there's no way I can show all the LOs I've done since I last blogged, so I'm just going to add odd ones on days I don't have any photos to show. This is a LO I did the other wekeend for the Scrummy Stash Cafe cybercrop (link to the SSC is over there somewhere --------->) it shows Zoe eating Lucy's birthday cake :)

well it's been a while! minor understatement there ;) I do have a good excuse for my abscence however...

this is Ben at 5 hours old :) he was born on 4th January and he is absolutely yummy! He's a lot bigger than that now though....

this was him in June, he's even bigger now! and very wriggly, so I can only find blurry photos right now....

I'm going to try and start blogging again. Fingers crossed anyway!

Now I know what hell is like!

they give you a ticket and force you to wait with tired hungry children for hours before telling you that your child is so skinny that they've nothing that will stay on her feet :( argh!

repeat three times and you're ready to sell the children as long as whoever buys them isn't too bothered about well fitting shoes....

we got some in the end, but never again I tell you. If her feet grow again I'll just chop them off!

Day out!

We've been to Leciester to visit Yan, Helen, Natty and Caleb for a BBQ, David was there too and we've not seen him for ages either. We've all had a fabby day and I've got lots of photos, especially of Natty's funky dancing :D but too tired to fiddle with the camera now - now it's time for bed!

Tomorrow we're braving Milton Keynes - Lucy must have new school shoes. Argh! wish me luck!

Grass heads!

Izzy and Lucy made grass heads in wildlife club at the end of last term. They've grown really well on the kitchen windowsill, so well that Lucy's needed 'styling'......

and while I'm posting plant pictures - a tulip from Andrew and Debbie's garden from Monday.....
